Enjoy a Victorian Christmas tree at the AT Stewart consignment shop

Remember: we are now open every Monday!

It started to look a lot like Christmas... There were signs everywhere in the town... The lights on the trees and bushes, the large ornaments and inflatable toys on the lawn, the trees decorated on the windows. So is the Garden City Historical Society Museum! When you drive by, it looks amazing!

Thank you very much to everyone who came to the resort and market on December 4th. Everyone was stunned by the venue and the supplier! The Senior Citizens Center is beautifully decorated with nine (9) Christmas trees, and a lottery is held as part of the "Festival of Trees". Good suppliers are selling all kinds of interesting and unusual items. The exchange set up a table in the village and the shop opened. We even sponsored and decorated a tree-aptly named "Victorian Splendor". Congratulations to the lucky buyer of that tree! Shoppers-young and old-are shopping there! I want to especially thank my volunteers, who work on the tables in the museum shop and the senior center! !

Don't worry-the exchange also has many great holiday decorations and gifts! ! Check out our cute Bearington bears, felted accessories made by Nepalese female craftsmen, and the peculiar resin tree. Our happy and bumpy dish towels are hugely popular, as are our beautiful cocktail and lunch napkins. We sell a selection of brass jewelry, including painted and brass 3D renderings from the AT Stewart Museum!

Welcome everyone to come in to browse and exchange. However, if you have not been vaccinated, please wear a mask. Even if all volunteers are vaccinated, you will see us continue to wear masks out of caution. We provide hand sanitizer when you enter the store. To make you feel safe, we are running an air purifier to clean the air in the store every hour.

We receive new items on consignment almost every day! We sell new products purchased through the New York Gift Show, especially gifts. Therefore, I prefer to treat our store as a gift and resale store. If you cannot be there right away, please shop online at www.atstewartexchange.org and pick up on Exchange. We also post photos on the AT Stewart Exchange Facebook and Instagram pages and the TGCHS website (www.tgchs.org).

Unfamiliar with exchange consignment shops? We live in the Garden City Historical Society (TGCHS) Museum at 109 Eleventh Street (in the basement of the building). All proceeds from Shop sales directly benefit TGCHS. In addition to our best-selling items-jewelry (clothing and exquisite), lamps, mirrors and crystals (Watford, Baccarat, Tiffany)-we also accept/accept silver, wallets, porcelain, furniture, art and collections Taste. All items are in a new or almost new state.

In the face of the virus, we have to take measures to protect our customers, shippers and volunteers. We now conduct consignment sales only by appointment, which helps reduce the number of people in the store at any point in time and reduce the waiting time for consignment sales. The consignment can only be carried out by appointment from Wednesday to Friday from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, so please call (516)746-8900. Not sure if your item is suitable for consignment? Email the photo to store@atstewartexchange.org and make sure to include the size information. Please make sure the items are cleaned and polished, ready to be sold.

All profits from the consignment shop are used to support the maintenance and upkeep of the TGCHS Museum. Thank you for your generous support, the work on the outside of the museum continues.

The store is located at 109 11th Street. Business hours: Monday to Friday 10:00-4:00; Wednesday to 6:00 pm; Saturday noon-4:00 pm. For more information, please call (516) 746-8900
